I believe government should be transparent and inclusive.
I will ensure Somerville has an even more inclusive approach toward decision making, city design and policies. If I’m elected City Councilor, I’ll fight to restore and strengthen transparency because it’s not just about process, it’s about trust.
Every voice heard.
I will stand up for the underdog. Human rights are non-negotiable.
I support funding for legal assistance for immigrants and international students so due process isn’t a privilege. I will protect LGBTQ neighbors in policy, funding and practice so every person in Somerville is safe, seen and free to live their life.
I’m advocating for:
- Neighborhood involvement/ consultation for traffic calming and street redesigns, especially near parks, schools and vulnerable pedestrian areas.
- Improved communication from city departments with clear updates on why particular designs are chosen and why alternatives are ruled out.
- Making it easier for residents to engage, not just react, in building and maintaining infrastructure.
